1975 Honda CR125 Racer

1975 CR125 Seat

The seat on my 75 CR125 racer was not suitable, the cover had a few holes and I didn’t like the high GP foam style. It looked old on a restored bike.

A search on the web found a company on ebay and also listed on the general web called Hondaclassic 31 which makes brand new vmx seats for this model, new metal base, new foam, new cover and all assembled ready to bolt on… all for only US$150 plus freight.

They delivered it in short order and although it needed a few small spacers on the rear to align the bolt holes, it then bolted straight on, very nice.

Rebuild a 1975 CR125 Racer

I was looking for a Honda 74 or 75 CR125 that was going to be raced hard but of course expected it to be a project. I came across a great bike which had a few goodies on it but was in need of a major overhaul to bring it up to the standard I wanted.

It already has :

  • Webco head,
  • Reed valve kit,
  • 34 mm Mikuni,
  • Circle F pipe,
  • Ported cylinder,
  • Redline swingarm,
  • Works performance shocks,
  • Clark RC style tank,
  • MSR easy pull clutch,
  • GP style seat and foam,
  • Extra wide footpegs

This is a slow project and not sure when I will get it happening but at least I got the base bike ready to start.
